There are few things better than warm, freshly baked rolls straight from the oven - especially when you made them yourself. In Bread Baking: Scottish Crusty Rolls, we’ll teach you how to make these gorgeous pillowy crusty rolls. They have a tender centre, a lightly crusty exterior, and are equally good with butter, alongside a bowl of soup, or used for a really good sandwich. You’ll learn: How to mix and knead a simple yeast dough How to tell when your dough has been kneaded and proofed properly How to portion and shape rolls for an even bake How to create their signature floury, crusty finish How temperature and timing affect yeast dough During class, you’ll work with dough that has already completed its first rise so you can shape, proof, and bake your rolls. You’ll also mix a fresh batch of dough to take home and bake later. You’ll go home with: A batch of freshly baked Scottish crusty rolls A batch of dough ready to proof and bake at home A recipe and tips booklet to help you recreate them This is a practical, approachable bread class for anyone who wants to learn yeast baking without committing to the long timelines and maintenance of sourdough. Please note that because class sizes are so limited, once booked, no refunds are available. You are welcome to send someone in your place or receive a credit for a future class provided we receive notice at least one week in advance. If cancellation is made less than one week before the class, no credit will be provided.
